The Salinas Valley Health (SVH) Certified Farmers’ Market is supported and funded by Salinas Valley Health. SVH is a vital partner in Everyone’s Harvest’s Fresh Rx Program. SVH physicians “prescribe” fresh fruits and vegetables to young patients at risk for nutrition insecurity and chronic diet-related health conditions and direct them to the farmers’ markets where they can receive $25 worth of fresh produce weekly. Results tracked by doctors show increases in participants’ healthy lifestyle habits and other positive health outcomes.
The SVH Market happily accepts EBT/WIC and conducts a Market Match program for EBT customers to double their spending power for fresh fruits and vegetables. Ask about Market Match at the Information Booth!
