Special Event Permits

Special Events are organized activities, assemblies, or events on public or City property which the public is invited to watch, listen, or participate. Special Events may require road closures, traffic detours, or encroachment permits. If you are planning an event on private property, please contact the Permit Center at 831 758 7206, or visit their page.

If you are planning a Special Event, please read the Special Events Ordinance, and contact specialevents@salinas.gov to request an application. Follow the Special Event Checklist to ensure that you return all of the required documents.  If you have any questions or would like a fillable pdf emailed to you, please contact specialevents@salinas.gov or (831) 758-7453.
