What are Contours?

Contour lines, or lines which connect points of equal elevation, are drawn on a topographical map in order to display the elevation at any point on the map.

NOTE

If you want to learn more about the data, click on the box located in the upper left-hand corner of the map frame or on the lines located on the map to enable a pop-up that will show you more information. You can also click on the "View larger map" link to see the data in the ArcGIS Online viewer.
