Keep Salinas Beautiful – Proactive Code Enforcement Begins!

Starting in May, the City of Salinas Code Enforcement Division will be increasing proactive inspections throughout the community. Each week, a different district will be the focus of proactive inspections. The dates listed below represent the first rotation cycle. After all districts have been visited, the schedule will repeat 

Our goal is simple: cleaner neighborhoods, safer communities, and improved quality of life for everyone. 

Schedule: 

District 1: May 3rd – May 9th 

District 2: May 10th – May 16th 

District 3: May 17th – May 23rd 

District 4: May 24th – May 30th 

District 5: May 31st- June 6th 

District 6: June 7th – June 13th 

 

Common violations to be aware of: 

  • Overgrown weeds and vegetation 

  • Unpermitted Garage Sales 

  • Yard Parking 

  • Cones, Barricades or obstacles in the right of way 

  • Unpermitted food vendors 

  • Zoning violations (improper storage of RVs, garbage cans, etc.) 

 

What you can do: 
Take a few minutes to review your property and address any issues early. Voluntary compliance helps avoid citations and keeps our community looking its best.
