The Advanced Planning Division translates the collective vision of the community into actionable plans and supports and coordinates their implementation. The core services include: implementation and maintenance of General Plan and other long-range and community planning documents such as the Alisal Vibrancy Plan and the Chinatown Revitalization Plan.
Draft Vision Salinas General Plan
The City’s draft long-range plan is open for public review and comment, reflecting community input and a full update to Salinas’ General Plan (the first comprehensive update since 2002). Residents can read the draft and submit feedback to help shape Salinas’ shared vision for the future.
Salinas Climate Action Plan
The Climate Action Plan (CAP) a comprehensive plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduce the impacts of climate change. Under state law, California is required to meet certain statewide greenhouse gas emission reduction goals to help protect our environment.
