Salinas Mayor Dennis Donohue and Maya Cinemas’ Chief Executive Officer Francisco Schlotterbeck announced a partnership with the City, Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce, Salinas City Center Improvement Association (SCCIA), and One Main Street to reopen the Maya Cinemas on October, 9th. Prior to the reopening, Maya Cinemas plans to make interior improvements to enhance the customer experience.
While next steps are still being determined, all partners are optimistic that they can work together to develop a long-term plan for the cinema that has been a part of the Salinas community for decades.
