Help us pick a name for Salinas' new Chatbot!

The City of Salinas is bringing a new member to the team – a chatbot! The chatbot will help residents find information on city services, who to contact, and processes for things like what you need for a specific type of permit by searching for information on the City’s website. The community can start the conversation in the language you’re most comfortable with, and the chatbot who can respond in 75 different languages will respond in the language you use.

  • VECI - My name, VECI, is short for Vecina, your helpful neighbor! I can’t loan you a cup of sugar, but I can help you find information on City services for my friends in Salinas!
  • SALI - People spell my name wrong as “Sally” but they’ve got my purpose right. I’m here to help serve my friends in SALInas! Just ask me, and I’ll help find the info.
  • SCOUT - You may know my AMOR Salinas friend Ranger, but my superpower is being a super speed information seeker. I can help you find information on services in seconds!
  • SAL - Like my friend SALI, SALinas is my home! Do you need a permit or information on other City services but don’t know where to start? Just ask; I’m here to help!
