Join Us for a Community Meeting

The City of Salinas recently conducted a community renaming process for City parks and library facilities currently bearing the name of Cesar Chavez.

Following this review, the City has identified the submissions that meet the requirements and are eligible for consideration. We are now asking the community to help us determine which name(s) should move forward.

Community members are invited to attend an upcoming public meeting to learn more about the renaming process and share their input.

• Who Can Attend: The meeting is open to the public.

During the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to:

• Learn about the renaming process and the steps taken so far.
• Review the eligible name submissions.
• Ask questions and receive information about the process.
• Participate in voting on the names they would like to see move forward for consideration.
