Keep Salinas Beautiful – Proactive Code Enforcement Begins!

The City of Salinas Code Enforcement Division will be increasing proactive inspections throughout the community. Each week, a different district will be the focus of proactive inspections. Each district is divided into quadrants, with one quadrant designated as the focus during each inspection cycle. Once all districts have been visited, the schedule begins again with District 1.

Our goal is simple: cleaner neighborhoods, safer communities, and improved quality of life for everyone.

Common violations to be aware of:

  • Overgrown weeds and vegetation

  • Unpermitted Garage Sales

  • Yard Parking

  • Cones, Barricades or obstacles in the right-of-way

  • Unpermitted food vendors

  • Inoperable vehicles

  • Zoning violations (improper storage of RVs, garbage cans, etc.)

What you can do:
Take a few minutes to review your property and address any issues early. Voluntary compliance helps avoid citations and keeps our community looking its best.
